Dr. Makoda Congratulates Children on Children’s Day Celebration, Reaffirms Commitment to Quality Education”

Kano State Commissioner for Education, Dr. Ali Haruna Makoda, has extended warm congratulations to children in the state on the occasion of the 2024/2025 Children’s Day celebration.
He reaffirmed the government’s unwavering commitment to promoting child welfare through the provision of modern learning facilities.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Director Public Enlightenment of the Ministry Balarabe Abdullahi Kiru, in Kano on Tuesday.
Dr. Makoda highlighted the importance of education to the life of children.
According to the statement, Dr. Makoda noted that education plays a vital role in the life of children, offering numerous benefits that shape their future and contribute to the development of society
He encouraged parents and other communities members to work together to ensure that children have access to quality education, as government is implementing programmes aimed at improving basic and post basic education in the state.
The statement however, called on the children to make good use of the period to celebrate and acknowledge their importance and future potential as leaders of tomorrow.
” While celebrating the day, I urged you to recognize the fact that you are the future leaders and contributors to the nation’s growth and development.
” So, the administration of Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf is highly committed to promoting the well-being of children through the provision of quality education” said the statement.
Children’s Day in Nigeria is celebrated on May 27th to honor the country’s children, raise awareness about their rights, and promote their well-being and education.
