LG Electronics Unveils Solar-Powered Borehole in Kano Community

Kano, Nigeria – LG Electronics has launched a solar-powered borehole in the Kawaji Saunar Mama community, Nassarawa Local Government, Kano State.
This initiative is part of LG’s corporate social responsibility program, aiming to provide clean water and improve living standards.
The solar-powered borehole addresses the long-standing challenge of accessing potable water in rural Kano.
Residents previously had to travel miles to unreliable sources, but this new system provides a dependable and sustainable water supply.
“The commissioning ceremony brought together LG representatives, local leaders, and community members to celebrate this vital project.
“The event highlighted the importance of clean water access and demonstrated how corporate partnerships can effectively address community needs.
“The borehole uses solar energy to pump water, ensuring a reliable supply while keeping operational costs low.
“It is also equipped with a state-of-the-art purification system, providing safe drinking water for hundreds of households.
Local leaders and residents expressed their gratitude for LG’s contribution. Alhaji Kabir Tijjani Hashim, Turakin Kano, District Head Kawaji Saunar, said, “This project is a lifeline for our community.
We no longer have to struggle to access clean water.”
