Dumping

The Kano State Government has banned dumping at the Court Road Site, citing environmental and health concerns.
The site, located in the Gyadi-Gyadi ward of Tarauni Local Government area, is surrounded by densely populated residential areas and the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, the largest health institution in Kano State.
According to Dr. Dahiru Muhammad Hashim, the State Commissioner of Environment and Climate Change, improper waste disposal at the site poses significant risks to public health and the environment.
The government is committed to ensuring effective waste management strategies and has directed the immediate evacuation of accumulated waste at the site.
Residents are advised to stop dumping waste at the Court Road Site and instead use the Sallari dumpsite.
