Gov.Yusuf Empowers 500 Students with Skills, Start-Up Capital

Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has empowered 500 graduating students from the Informatics and Driving Institutes with certificates, start-up capital, and opportunities for further development.
The governor presented each graduate with certificates, computers, and driver’s licenses at a graduation ceremony held at the Kano Informatics Institute in Kura Local Government Area.
Each Informatics Institute graduate received N100,000, while Driving School students received N200,000 as seed capital for their future endeavors.
Governor Yusuf urged the graduates to contribute to a progressive society and utilize the skills they have acquired.
The governor reiterated his administration’s dedication to prioritizing education, youth empowerment, and skills development.
He expressed gratitude to the management of the Informatics Institute for graduating 250 students trained in critical areas such as mobile and personal computer repair and data science.
Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sunusi II, commended Governor Yusuf for reopening the institutes, emphasizing their vital role in addressing unemployment among the state’s youth.
The Emir urged young people to engage in skill acquisition programs to achieve self-reliance.
Some beneficiaries expressed appreciation to Governor Yusuf for his investment in their future and pledged to make the most of the opportunities provided.
Governor Yusuf also announced admissions for another 500 students, underscoring his administration’s commitment to youth empowerment and skills development.
