Corporate responsibility:LG inaugurates borehole at Sauna village.

Kano, LG Eectronics on Wednesday inaugurated a solar-powered borehole at Saunar Mama’u in Nasarawa Local Government Area of Kano State, as part of its corporate social responsibility.

The borehole, according to the General Manager of the company,Paul Mbah,is aimed providing a healthy and clean drinking water to the people of the community.

Mbah said the Inauguration of the project was LG’s significant step toward providing clean and healthy drinking water to communities in need.

He expressed the company’s commitment to corporate social responsibility, emphasizing the importance of giving back to the community.

“This project marks the ninth commissioning of its kind by LG Electronics, with eight similar projects already completed in different communities.

“The company plans to execute similar projects in various parts of Kano State, demonstrating its dedication to corporate social responsibility.

“LG Electronics has shown a similar commitment to providing essential amenities to underserved communities in the past,”the general manager said.

He urged the community to take care of the facility to ensure its longevity and continued benefit to the residents.

In their separate remarks at the occasion,the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, represented by the District Head of Nasarawa, Alhaji Kabir Tijjani Hashim,and the Chairman of Nasarawa Local Government, Yusuf Imam,thanked LG for the gesture.

They described the provision of the borehole as timely,as it would address the long-standing water scarcity being faced by the people of the area.

They urged the residents of the area to maintain the borehole so as to continue to use it for a very long time.
