VP Shettima Commends BUK for Quality Education and Unbiased Admission Policy

Vice President Kashim Shettima has praised Bayero University Kano (BUK) for its outstanding contributions to quality education and its commitment to an unbiased admission policy, devoid of religious and ethnic biases. 

Shettima made these remarks while declaring open the BUK Class of 2004 Reunion at the university’s campus.

Represented by Dr. Nurudeen Abubakar Zauro, Technical Adviser to the President on Development Finance and Financial Inclusion, the Vice President acknowledged the university’s efforts in providing quality education to all Nigerians.

He emphasized that despite challenges, there are opportunities for innovative solutions, particularly in addressing systemic inequalities faced by women and marginalized groups.

Shettima noted that the Federal Government, under President Bola Tinubu, recognizes the importance of collaboration with future leaders, partners, and the private sector in implementing and sustaining programs, projects, and initiatives. 

He called for contributions and commitments to drive impactful change, emphasizing the need for evidence-based approaches, innovative strategies, and community-driven initiatives.

The Vice President’s commendation highlights Bayero University Kano’s reputation for providing quality education and promoting inclusivity through its admission policies.
