KNSG Approves ₦100 Million for Course Accreditation at ABCOAD, Danbatta

The Kano State Government has approved ₦100 million for the accreditation of courses at Abdu Bako College of Agricultural Development (ABCOAD), Danbatta.
This announcement was made by the State Commissioner for Higher Education, Dr. Yusuf Ibrahim Kofarmata, during the defense of his ministry’s budget at the Kano State House of Assembly.
According to Dr. Kofarmata, the government has also secured a project from the French Embassy, which will benefit 1,500 youths through agricultural development programs aimed at boosting the state’s economy.
The commissioner noted that the current administration has made significant progress in completing long-abandoned projects initiated by former Governor Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
Examples include the reconstruction of the burnt female hostel at Aliko Dangote University and the completion of humanities and science facilities at Northwest University.
Dr. Kofarmata reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to providing an enabling environment, improved infrastructure, e-libraries, manpower development, and introducing new accredited courses across all state-owned institutions.
These efforts align with the administration’s declaration of a state of emergency in the education sector.
The commissioner commended Governor Abba Yusuf for allocating one-third of the total budget to education and praised members of the State House of Assembly for ensuring accountability and transparency in the 2025 budget proces
