Kano State Commissioner of Education Applauds KERD’s Outstanding Performance

Kano State Commissioner of Education, Dr. Ali Haruna Makoda, has commended the Director of Kano Educational Resource Department (KERD), Hajiya Rabi Inuwa Hussain, for her exceptional performance within her first year in office.
Dr. Makoda’s praise came during a celebration of KERD’s one-year achievements, held at the department’s premises.
He noted that the department’s accomplishments demonstrate the present administration’s commitment to prioritizing education.
He highlighted Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s proposal to allocate 31% of the 2025 budget to the education sector, showcasing the governor’s passion for education.
The commissioner also acknowledged the support of the Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly and the Members of the House Committee on Education in implementing new government policies, particularly regarding the proposed 2025 budget.
” The department has undergone significant transformation, becoming more dynamic and efficient in contributing to educational excellence in Kano State.
“KERD has recorded 39 notable achievements within its first year, paving the way for new projects and initiatives.
” The success of KERD is attributed to the collective efforts of its staff, who have worked tirelessly to transform the education sector.
The event also featured a tour of new projects initiated by the department, supervised by Dr. Makoda.
