Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has made a groundbreaking move by allocating 31% of the 2025 budget to the education sector, surpassing UNESCO’s recommended 25% benchmark
This significant allocation has earned praise from Prof. Musa Tukur Yakasai, Vice Chancellor of Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology Wudil.
Prof. Yakasai lauded Governor Yusuf’s educational policy, particularly his declaration of a state of emergency in the sector.
The Vice Chancellor also expressed gratitude for the governor’s approval to complete the Dangote Hostel, which was damaged by fire, and for settling allowances owed to university staff .
