Kano Police Command Records Significant Successes in Fight Against Crime

The Kano State Police Command has achieved notable successes in its efforts to combat crime, with 19 cases of arrests and recoveries in the past month.
Superintendent Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, Public Relations Officer of the Command, disclosed this information while parading suspects and recovered items at the Police Headquarters in Bompai, Kano.
According to Kiyawa, the command has arrested a total of 35 suspects in connection with various crimes, including armed robbery, kidnapping, theft, drug dealing, and fraud.
The recovered items include dangerous weapons, stolen vehicles, solar batteries, mobile phones, and counterfeit currency.
” The arrest of five suspected armed robbers on August 12, connected to a robbery incident at Hotoro Quarters, Kano, with a motor vehicle and locally made gun recovered.
” The arrest of two suspected kidnappers on July 18, and the rescue of two kidnapped victims in a deep forest in Gubuchi Village, Makari LGA, Kaduna State.
” The arrest of five suspected thieves on August 27, with five solar batteries recovered in Warawa LGA, Kano.
” The arrest of two mobile phone armed robbers on August 26, with a sharp knife and stolen mobile phone recovered in Dorayi Quarters, Kano.
” The arrest of three suspected drug dealers on August 26, with 98 pieces of Exol tablets and a block of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp recovered in Yan-tagwage Quarters, Kano.
The command has reaffirmed its commitment to fighting crime and ensuring the safety of citizens in Kano State.
