Ubah’s death great loss to South-East—Doguwa

Abuja, Rep. Alhassan Doguwa, Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Petroleum Resources (Upstream), says the death of Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah  was unfortunate, describing it as a great loss to South-East.

Ubah, who until his death on Saturday in London, represented Anambra South Senatorial District on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC)

Doguwa, who represents Doguwa/ Tudun Wada Federal Constituency of Kano State, in a statement on Sunday in Abuja, described Ubah as a patriotic Nigerian who promoted unity, progress and national development.

Doguwa condoled with the immediate family of the deceased lawmaker, the people of his constituency, the Senate and all those the late business mogul left behind.

Doguwa, the leader of the Northern Caucus of the House of Representatives, said the late chairman of the Senate Committee on Petroleum Resources (Downstream) would be sorely missed.

He said this would manifest not only in the country’s political arena but all spheres, especially in the business community and football spheres.

He said as the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Petroleum Downstream, Ubah demonstrated unwavering commitment to Nigeria’s economic growth and development.

According to him, Ubah’s contributions to the petroleum sector and beyond would be deeply missed, adding that as a businessman, he inspired many entrepreneurs with his innovative spirit and resilience.
