Kano State Set to Host Landmark Education Recovery Conference

The Kano State Government, in partnership with the UK’s Foreign and Commonwealth Development Office (FCDO) and Arewa Consultative Forum, is proud to announce the upcoming Education Recovery Conference, taking place on July 10-11, 2024.
This high-level conference brings together thought leaders, policymakers, educators, and private sector experts to tackle the significant challenges facing the education sector in Kano State.
The conference with the theme “Repositioning Education in Kano State: Navigating the Path to Excellence,” the conference aims to address issues of access, equity, and quality, and chart a reform pathway for a transformed education system.
The conference is a critical step in the state’s ambitious roadmap to deliver quality and accessible education, following the declaration of a state of emergency in the education sector by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf in June.
The government has committed to a comprehensive overhaul, including infrastructure development, teacher support, and initiatives to promote girl-child education.
Through keynote speeches, lead papers, plenaries, and breakout sessions, stakeholders will work together to identify sustainable solutions and foster partnerships to reposition the education sector in Kano State.
