Kano Government Empowers Community Re-orientation Committees to Repair Schools

By Aminu Garko

Kano, The Kano State Government has granted N25 million each to Community Re-orientation Committees (CRCs) in all 44 Local Government Areas  to facilitate minor repairs in primary and secondary schools.

This initiative, announced by NNPP Chairman Alhaji Hashimu Dungurawa, aims to revamp education infrastructure, addressing issues like broken doors, gates, windows, and toilet maintenance.

The CRCs, comprising village heads, youth leaders, labour unions, and opposition party members, will ensure inclusive development in all communities.

This effort demonstrates the government’s commitment to education, allocating 30% of the 2024 budget to the sector and sponsoring over 1000 students for foreign scholarships and settling N1 billion in registration fees for state students in Nigerian universities.
