Kano, Vice President Kashim Shettima has reaffirmed that President Bola Tinubu has good intentions for the growth and development of Northern Nigeria, contrary to claims that he is working against the region.

Speaking during a condolence visit from a federal government delegation led by Chief of Staff Femi Bajabiamila, Shettima highlighted the President’s appointments of two ministers of defense, the chief of defense staff, and the chairman of police commission affairs from the North as evidence of his commitment.

The Vice President urged Nigerians to support President Tinubu’s efforts to make Nigeria great, emphasizing that governance transcends political party affiliations.

He stressed that the country’s unity and progress are more important than party differences, citing the support he received from the Kano State Government, led by Governor Abba Yusuf of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), during his time of bereavement.

Shettima noted that the country has moved beyond politics and is now in the act of governance, emphasizing the need for collective effort to achieve greatness.

He reminded that Nigeria’s greatness is a collective responsibility, and that political party affiliations should not be a yardstick for division and destruction.
