Emir of Kano Welcomes ECOWAS Parliament Delegation, Encourages Business Exploration

The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, has warmly welcomed the ECOWAS Parliament delegation, urging them to explore business and investment opportunities in Kano.

The Emir’s invitation came during the Second Extra-ordinary session of the ECOWAS Parliament, which brought together parliamentarians from 12 West African countries.

Assuring the delegation of adequate security, the Emir encouraged them to visit tourist and economic sites, commending Deputy Senate President Dr. Barau Jubrin for facilitating the session’s hosting in Kano. He prayed for peace and stability in Nigeria and the African sub-region.

The visit to the Emir’s Palace was part of the Second Extraordinary Session of the ECOWAS Parliament, which aimed to bring the parliament closer to the people, foster interactions and business relations, and fulfill the dream of uniting West Africa through ECOWAS.

The Emir, as the custodian of tradition and religion, was sought out for his blessings and respect for the emirate and the emir.

Senator Jibrin, leading the delegation, explained that Kano was selected to host the session to promote business and investment opportunities, strengthen regional unity, and enhance economic cooperation among ECOWAS member states.
