Sanitation: Kano govt screens street sweepers

Kano The Commissioner for Environment and Climate Change, Nasiru Sule Garo, on Tuesday, inaugurated the Screening Committee at the Refuse Management and Sanitation Board (REMASAB) office.
The Commissioner for Environment and Climate Change, Nasiru Sule Garo, on Tuesday, inaugurated the Screening Committee at the Refuse Management and Sanitation Board (REMASAB) office.
The Commissioner said the Committee was given five days to complete its assignment and come up with a comprehensive report, that would serve as a guide to the screening process.
He, therefore, urged members of the Committee to justify the confidence reposed on them to ensure timely completion of the assignment given to them.
Responding, the chairman of the Committee who is also the Special Adviser to Governor Abba Yusuf on Environment and Sanitation, Abdullahi Shehu Bichi, restated their readiness to discharge the assignment diligently.
He called on the street sweepers in the state to come along with all credentials for proper identification and scrutiny
