Niger NDE Disburses Starter Packs to 50 Graduated Trainees

National Directorate of Employment NDE Niger state has disbursed starter packs to 50 graduated trainees beneficiaries of Community Based Training Scheme CBTS under Vocational Skills Development Department in the state.
The Director General of NDE Malam Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo represented by the State Coordinator Alhaji Abubakar Mohammed Dantsoho said that the beneficiaries were trained in skills to include, tailoring, computer, GSM repairs, hair dressing and electrical installations.
He explained that 125 participated but 50 were selected which is a loan for a total package of N120,000 each with 9% interest due to purcity funds hence it has given 6 months meritorium before repayment within two to three years.
Dantsoho reiterated the commitment of NDE in ensuring adequate monitoring of the beneficiaries performance in conformity with the process so as to ensure judicious use of the items to be self employed and reliant.
The Community Based Training Scheme CBTS Director Headquarters represented by Jemila Suleiman who noted that the aim is to step the training down to the grassroots, adding that 5 selected from each of the 25 local government and two each lucky to get the starter packs.
She charged on the beneficiaries not to disappoint the organization in times of repayment just as it is a revolving loans to ensure others benefits in future.
