The governorship election petition tribunal Sokoto has fixed 7th of June 2023 for the next proceeding.

Sokoto, The Gubernatorial election tribunal sitting in Sokoto on Wednesday adjourned it’s sitting to the seventh of next month to hear applications and motions by both the petitioners and dependents in the matter.
The chairman of the tribunal Mr.Haruna Mshelia announced the adjournment shortly after the inauguration and proceedings of the tribunal in Sokoto today.
Mr.Mshelia who appreciated the appearance and manners of the lawyers at the inauguration ceremony urged them to give more co-operation to ensure the successful completion of their assignment, considering the importance of the exercise.
The chairman introduced Mr Olajide Abe and Sonso fomber as two other mambers of the tribunal panel adding that during the proceedings examination in chief has thirty minutes while cross examination would last in twenty minutes.
Chief Wole Olanipekun “SAN”is a lead counsel representin governor elect Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto Fcna and Idris Muhammad Gobir.
Other lawyers in the team include mallam Yusuf Olaolu”SAN” Bode Olanipekun “SAN”,J.E Ochidi “SAN”,Abayomi Oyelola “mni” and Babatunde Olomu.
Others are Yunus L.Akanbi,Opeyemi Adekoya,Faith Adarighofua,Akintola Makinde,Yomi Adejuyigbe,A.O Abdul and N.N Anaka.
PDP, Sa,idu Umar and Sagir Bafarawa has S.I Ameh as a lead lawyer with other lawyers,Dr Tetenga Garaba”SAN”,Sule Ogwu Usman “SAN’,Paul Harris Ogbole “SAN”, Ibrahim Eddy ,Kolawole Omotinugbon,Steve Emeliezie,Zocchacus Akubo,A.T Ibrahim and Adah Usman.
In the meantime Hassan M. Liman “SAN”,Ishaja M.Dikko “SAN” and Mr Samuel Peter “SAN” are representing All progressives congress APC at the tribunal proceedings while independent national electoral commission has also sent a team of lawyers to the tribunal.
