10th Senate Presidency: Group drums support for Akpabio/ Baraau for Senate Presidency

Kano, A group under the aegis of All Progressives Congress (APC), Tinubu/Danmodi support group from Kano State, has described the choice of Akpadio/Baraau as Senate President of the 10th National Assembly as the best thing that happened to the party.
The North West coordinator of the group, Alhaji Ahmed Gana disclose this while speaking to newsmen in Kano on Wednesday.
He said that the decisions of the President-elect, Sen. Bola Tinubu, and the APC leadership on Sen. Godswill Akpabio and Sen. Barau Jibrin to lead the 10th NASS was done not for the mere of it but with reasons, as such senators should uphold the decision.
I called on the elected representatives to respect and obey the decision of the party for a formidable 10th NASS.
“I strongly advise our elected representatives to respect the choice of the the President-elect and the leadership of the party for the build up of the 10th National Assembly,” he urged.
He said that the decisions of the President-elect, Sen. Bola Tinubu, and the APC leadership on Sen. Godswill Akpabio and Sen. Barau Jibrin to lead the 10th NASS was done not for the mere of it but with reasons, as such senators should uphold the decision.
” As supporters we are solely behind the decision of our President Elect and leadership of our party for this wise decision on the choice of the principals officers to lead the 10 NASS.
” We are appealing to our teaming members elect to rally round the decision of the our leaders in the choice to ensure mutual working relationship between the executive and the legislative to ensure good democratic governance”,he said.
He said that supporting Sen. Godwill Akpabio from Akwa Ibom state (South-South) and Sen. Barau Jibril from Kano state (North-West) for Senate presidency as well as Abbas Tajuddeen from Kaduna state as Speaker and Ben Kalu from Abia state as Deputy Speaker is a task that most be accomplished”,he said.
He explained that even though some members of the APC are not comfortable with the National Working Committee arrangement , they have not given any tangible reason to question the zoning arrangement of the party.
We are soliciting the support of all and sundry to rally and support the candidature of Sen. Akpadio/ Barau to emerge as the next President of the 10th Senate, and as well as Abbas Tajuddeen from Kaduna state as Speaker and Ben Kalu from Abia state as Deputy Speaker of the House of RepresentatIves” he said.
