Kano board inaugurates first return flight of pilgrims from S/Arabia

Makka (Saudi Arabia), Alhaji Rabi’u Danbappa, the Director-General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, on Sunday inaugurated the first return flight of 549 of the state’s pilgrims from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Inaugurating the return flight in Makka, Danbappa urged pilgrims to apply the spiritual knowledge and experience gained during the pilgrimage to positively impact their communities.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that a total of 549 pilgrims from 11 Local Government Areas in Kano State, along with 11 national officials, would return home on the first flight.
He said that the pilgrims would travel on a Max Air flight from King AbdulAziz International Airport in Jeddah to Malam Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano.
The director-general said that upon arrival, pilgrims would proceed to the Hajj Camp in Kano to collect their allotted Zamzam water provided by the state government as part of their welcome package.
“The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board is ensuring a smooth and organised return process for the pilgrims,” he said.
