Kano, The Kano State Government has denied involvement in a land-swap deal involving Federal Government College Kano, stating it has no rights to the property.
A statement by Governor Yusuf Chief Press Secretary Mustapha Muhammad says any claims linking Governor Yusuf’s administration to the deal are “misleading and unfounded”.
The government urged media to verify reports, citing the college is under the Federal Ministry of Education.
While acknowledging concerns raised by members of the public, the government urged media organisations to uphold the principles of accuracy, fairness, and responsible journalism, and to avoid publishing unverified or speculative reports.
It also reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, the rule of law, and the protection of public interest.
