The Kano State Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Adamu Aliyu Kibiya, has congratulated Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf on being honoured with the 2025 Nigeria Excellence Award in Public Service (NEAPS).

The award, presented at the State House Conference Centre, Abuja, recognises the governor’s impactful achievements in education, health, agriculture, infrastructure and youth empowerment.
It was organised by the Nigeria Excellence Award in Public Service – an initiative of Best Media Relations – in partnership with the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, presented the award to Governor Yusuf on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Commissioner Kibiya said the accolade underscores Governor Yusuf’s legacy of revitalising Kano’s socio‑economic landscape through reforms in health, education, infrastructure, agriculture and youth programmes.
“Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has demonstrated dedication, integrity and focus in serving the people of Kano, which has enabled him to improve the lives of citizens,” Kibiya said. “The award is a testament to his efforts in transforming the state and uplifting its people.”
He prayed that the governor would continue to receive wisdom and courage to deliver more development projects to the state.
