NAFDAC lauds Gov Yusuf transformational leadership

Kano, The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has commended  Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State  for his transformational leadership and reforms in the state.

This is contained in a statement issued by his spokesperson Sunusi Dawakin-Tofa in Kano on Saturday. 

NAFDAC’s Director General, Prof. Mojisola Christianah Adeyeye, expressed the agency’s readiness to collaborate with the state government in strengthening public health regulation and combating substandard medicines.

Governor Yusuf welcomed NAFDAC’s proposal for partnership and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to advancing public health and ensuring the availability of safe and effective medicines in the state.

The Governor commended Prof. Adeyeye’s leadership and NAFDAC’s commitment to safeguarding the health of Nigerians.

Meanwhile Gov.Abba Yusuf of Kano State has urged local government councils to hold regular security meetings to enhance vigilance and coordination among communities.

The Governor emphasized the importance of grassroots intelligence sharing and cooperation between communities and security agencies during a State Security Council meeting.

He identified five local government areas – Shanono, Tsanyawa, Tudun Wada, Doguwa, and Gwarzo – as requiring special attention due to security threats.

Governor Yusuf reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to maintaining peace and stability, stressing that security remains a top priority.
