The Kano State Government is set to inaugurate the newly reconstituted Shuurah Council on Monday, September 8, 2025, under the leadership of Governor Abba Kabiru Yusuf.
The ceremony will take place at the Government House, Kano, marking a significant step towards strengthening participatory governance, inclusiveness, and transparency in decision-making.
The Shuurah Council will serve as an advisory body to the State Government, providing informed guidance on policies and programs that will drive the transformation agenda and promote sustainable development.
The Council comprises highly respected personalities representing critical stakeholder constituencies, ensuring balanced and adequate representation across all social strata of the Kano community.
Governor Yusuf will highlight the objectives and mandate of the Council, reaffirming his administration’s dedication to accountability, equity, and citizens’ participation in decision-making.
Governor Abba Kabiru Yusuf is known for his commitment to people-oriented governance, and this initiative is expected to further enhance citizen participation and effective service delivery in Kano State.
