Atiku, Zulum, Malami Condole Kano Governor, Family over Dantata’s Death

Former Vice President Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Borno State Governor Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, and former Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami (SAN), have paid separate condolence visits to Governor Abba Yusuf and the family of the late business mogul and elder statesman, Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata.

According to a statement issued on Sunday by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the dignitaries expressed deep sorrow over Dantata’s passing at the age of 94 in Abu Dhabi. 

They were warmly received by Governor Yusuf alongside members of the State Executive Council at the Government House.

The visitors conveyed heartfelt condolences to the Governor, the Dantata family, and the people of Kano State, describing the death as a profound loss to the nation.

 They offered prayers, asking Allah to forgive the deceased’s shortcomings and grant him Jannatul Firdaus, while also praying for comfort and strength for the bereaved family.

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar praised the late Dantata as a remarkable philanthropist and humble businessman whose quiet acts of generosity transformed countless lives. 

Governor Zulum described him as an elder statesman whose dedication to societal progress and economic empowerment would serve as an enduring inspiration. 

Former Minister Malami emphasized that Dantata was a national icon whose legacy embodied integrity, modesty, and commitment to humanity.

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf expressed gratitude for their visits, noting that the show of solidarity brought great comfort to the government and people of Kano during this difficult time. 

He assured them that the state government would continue to uphold and promote the values and ideals that the late Dantata represented.

The condolence visits reflect the widespread admiration and respect Dantata earned during his long and impactful life, with tributes and gestures of respect pouring in from across Nigeria and beyond.
