Barau mourns the loss of Galadiman Kano Sunusi

Kano, Deputy President of the Senate, Barau Jibrin, has expressed his deep sorrow over the passing of Galadiman Kano, Abbas Sunusi, describing him as a bridge builder, elder statesman, and revered traditional leader.
Abbas Sunusi, who passed away at the age of 91, was a highly respected figure in Kano, known for his immense contributions to the growth and development of the Kano emirate and Kano State.
Senator Barau told newsmen shortly after the burial praised his selflessness, dedication, and compassion, which inspired countless lives, especially in his home state of Kano.
He consoled the family, urging them to find solace in the fact that Abbas Sunusi was a devout Muslim who spent his life serving Allah and humanity.
He acknowledged the significant impact of Abbas Sunusi’s passing, stating that his demise creates a huge vacuum that cannot be easily filled.
The Senator prayed for Allah to forgive Abbas Sunusi’s shortcomings, grant him Jannatul Firdaus, and give his family the strength to bear the loss.
He also extended his condolences to the immediate family, particularly Prince Abdullahi Abbas, chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Kano.
Senator Barau attended the funeral prayers at the Gandu cemetery in Kano, arriving around 9:40 am on Wednesday.
