KNSG Embarks on Salary Validation Tour to Boost Transparency

The Kano State Government has launched an inspection tour of salary validation centers to promote transparency and accountability in salary administration.
Led by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Umar Farouq Ibrahim, the tour aims to verify staff records, eliminate payroll discrepancies, and ensure rightful salary payments.
The initiative is part of the government’s commitment to financial prudence and efficient civil service.
Ibrahim emphasized the importance of a transparent and accountable payroll system, ensuring that salary payments are made promptly and correctly.
During the tour, the SSG assured civil servants of timely salary payments before the forthcoming Sallah celebration, provided they participate in the verification exercise.
He also highlighted that salary-related challenges have been effectively addressed.
The validation exercise will continue across various centers to ensure full compliance with payroll integrity measures.
The Head of the Civil Service, Alhaji Abdullahi Musa, stressed the significance of proper salary administration in good governance, ensuring accurate capturing of civil servants in the system for prompt and rightful salary payments.
Employees expressed support for the initiative, acknowledging its potential to promote fairness and efficiency in salary payments.
