Gov.Yusuf Swears in New Commissioner for Housing Development

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has sworn in Ibrahim Yakubu Adamu as the new Commissioner for Housing Development, expanding his executive council.
The swearing-in ceremony was conducted by the Attorney General of Kano State, Haruna Isah Dederi, on Monday.
Adamu, formerly the Managing Director of the Kano Urban Planning and Development Authority (KNUPDA), brings significant expertise and experience to his new role.
Governor Yusuf praised Adamu’s contributions to Kano’s urban development, highlighting his pivotal role in designing and developing Kwankwasiyya, Amana, and Bandirawo cities between 2013 and 2015.
Governor Yusuf also recalled Adamu’s instrumental role as Commissioner for Works and Housing from 2011 to 2015, where he executed major housing projects.
The governor expressed confidence in Adamu’s ability to address Kano’s housing challenges, particularly those affecting civil servants.
The new commissioner has been tasked with collaborating with financial institutions and other stakeholders to expand affordable housing opportunities in the state.
This move is part of Governor Yusuf’s efforts to strengthen his administration’s delivery of good governance, following recent strategic appointments aimed at enhancing governance in Kano State.
