Kano State Governor Abba Kabir-Yusuf has submitted a list of commissioner-nominees to the Kano House of Assembly for approval.
The speaker, Alhaji Jibrin Falgore, made the announcement during Monday’s emergency plenary session while reading a letter from the governor.
The nominee, Ibrahim Yakubu Adamu, currently serves as the Managing Director of the Kano State Urban Planning and Development Authority (KNUPDA).
Adamu will be invited to appear before the assembly members for screening.
In another development, the Kano State Assembly has passed a bill to establish an Infrastructure Management Agency.
According to the Majority Leader, Lawan Husseini, the agency will enhance the management and maintenance of public infrastructure, including roads, bridges, and public buildings
