Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf has ordered commissioners reassigned in the recent cabinet reshuffle to hand over their duties by Tuesday, December 17, before office hours close.
The transition is expected to be complete ahead of the State Executive Council meeting on Wednesday, December 18 ¹.
This directive was issued through the governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, emphasizing the importance of a seamless handover.
The governor also urged council members to redouble their efforts, promoting teamwork, dedication, and commitment to serving the state’s people ¹.
Notably, the new commissioners are on a six-month probation period, during which their performance will be monitored.
Governor Yusuf previously stated that appointments were based on merit, professionalism, previous performances, and competency, emphasizing the need for commitment to duties ¹.
The recent cabinet reshuffle aims to optimize governance efficiency and deliver dividends of democracy to Kano State residents.
