The Kano State Ministry of Education is teaming up with old boys associations across the state to enhance the quality of education.

Commissioner Alhaji Umar Haruna Doguwa made this commitment while receiving the Rumfa Old Boys Association, Class ’94, at his office.

The ministry has made significant progress in distributing teaching materials, providing school furniture, renovating and constructing new classrooms, and training staff.

The administration is recruiting 17,600 security guards and local hunters to ensure maximum security in public schools across 44 local government areas.

Alhaji Mustapha Rabi’u, Secretary of Rumfa Old Boys Association, Class ’94, expressed appreciation for the administration’s efforts in overhauling the education sector.

The association plans to offer guidance, mentorship, and teaching facilities to current students and will hold its 30th anniversary, recognizing key stakeholders who have contributed to education development in the state.

This partnership is a significant step towards transforming the education sector in Kano State, and with the combined efforts of the government, alumni, and non-governmental organizations, the state can look forward to improved access, quality, and infrastructure development in schools.
