2024/2025 Academic Session: Resumption Dates for Primary and Post Primary Schools in Kano State

The Kano State Government has announced the resumption dates for the 2024/2025 academic session. Boarding public and private primary and post-primary schools will resume on Sunday, September 8, 2024.
While day schools will resume on Monday, September 9, 2024.
A statement issued by the Director of Public Enlightenment, Ministry of Education, Balarabe Abdullahi Kiru, urged parents and guardians to take note of the resumption dates to ensure compliance.
Commissioner of Education Alhaji Umar Haruna Doguwa warned that disciplinary action would be taken against defaulting students and pupils.
He advised students to refrain from bringing prohibited items such as knives, razors, or illicit drugs to school and to remain law-abiding to succeed in their studies.
The commissioner reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to providing quality education, stating,
“This government is taking positive steps towards creating a conducive learning environment that will inspire and empower our students to excel academically.”
The ministry wishes students, pupils, and teachers a successful new academic session and will conduct routine monitoring exercises to ensure staff punctuality and efficiency.
