Prof. Yahaya Bunkure, Chairman of Bunkure Microfinance Bank,Kano State,says the bank has made significant strides in promoting financial inclusion and empowering entrepreneurs in its area of coverage.
“At Bunkure Microfinance Bank, we take pride in our achievements and contributions to the microfinance sector.
“We are delighted to be associated with the National Association of Microfinance Banks and are grateful for the support and opportunities it has provided us.
“Over the years, we have made significant strides in promoting financial inclusion and empowering entrepreneurs in our community,” Bunkure said.
He made the remark in a goodwill speech he delivered at the bank’s Annual General Meeting(AGM) held at Niccon Luxury, Abuja.
He listed the achievements to include the successful expansion of the bank’s range of financial products and services to cater for the diverse needs of its clients, including microloans, savings accounts and financial literacy programmes and implementing innovative digital banking solutions to enhance accessibility and convenience for its customers, thereby fostering financial inclusion.
Others,the chairman said,were impactful community initiatives through strategic partnerships and community outreach programs, with which they had been able to support small businesses, women entrepreneurs, and underserved populations, “thereby contributing to the socio-economic development of our region”;
And Upholding the highest standards of governance and compliance, through the bank had earned “the trust and confidence of our stakeholders, ensuring the sustainability and stability of our institution.”
“As we convene at this AGM, I am eager to share our experiences and learn from the successes of fellow microfinance banks.
“Together, we can continue to drive positive change and create a more inclusive and sustainable financial system for all,” Prof.Bunkure added.
