FG Reiterates Commitment to Civil Service Reforms at NCE Meeting in Kano

The Federal Government has reaffirmed its commitment to ongoing civil service reforms aimed at enhancing productivity and efficiency across Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).

Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, stated this during the 47th Delegates’ Meeting of the National Council on Establishments (NCE) held in Kano. She said the reforms currently being implemented are already yielding positive results, with the goal of improving service delivery nationwide.

Walson-Jack described the council as the apex body on civil service matters, noting that its decisions play a critical role in strengthening administrative structures and advancing national development.

Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, represented by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Umar Farouk Ibrahim, said the state remains labour-friendly and has made significant progress in creating a conducive working environment for its workforce.

In his welcome address, the Kano State Head of Service, Alhaji Abdullahi Musa, said hosting the meeting demonstrates the state government’s commitment to fostering unity and cooperation among civil service institutions.

The event was attended by Heads of Service from the 36 states and the federation.
